Is your Shakti software unable to play sounds using Windows Media Player?

Shakti for windows requires Internet Explorer, version 4 or later.

Internet Explorer can play sounds in several audio formats using a "Playslot".

 

 

 

 

Here is a picture of an I.E. (internet Explorer) playslot. Your playslots may look different. 

If you don't see a "playslot" like this on the pages that use windows meda player, you should upgrade your Windows Media Player.

If you see a playslot, but it doesn't have a "play" button, then you should upgrade your Internet Explorer. XP 98

 

 

 

 

 

In order to download the latest version of the Microsoft media player, your copy of Windows must be validated. If you are unable to validate your copy of windows (or ou are running window 98), you can use an older version. Version 9 is suggested for windows 98, and Version 10 for Windows XP. You can find them HERE. The authors of Shakti for Windows encourage validation of operating systems.

 

 

 

 

 

Some people may find that their playslots do not appear. There is nothing wrong with your shakti software. Some part of your Internet Explorer has been altered, probably by another audio software.

You can replace it with a newer version of Windows Media Player or with Quicktime
