You have two of them. On the right, it deals in non-verbal information processing including visualization and musical
understanding.
On the left, it's more linguistic.
For most people, this signal is more pleasant when applied over the right.
A few people are 'left-handed' or 'reversed' with respect to the hippocampus. If stimulation on the right side
is unpleasant, try the left.
The hippocampus is extensively connected to the frontal lobes, so the frontal lobes on the right side is a good
place to begin using this signal.
If you find you are having moments where you have trouble recalling a word or name, or that you're a bit 'spaced
out' at times, you should switch to another session design - one that stimulates the left side.
The hippocampal signal can be applied to the both frontal lobes, one frontal lobe, both temporal lobes, one temporal
lobe.
In principle, it can be applied to the angular gyrus on the right side, though this has not been tested.
Application of this signal to the parietal lobes is not suggested.
Headaches can occur with this signal over the right side of the head. Usually, they stop after a few sessions,
and respond to common headache remedies. They are more a sensation of pressure than a pain, and are not constant.
When beginning to use any signal, it's a good idea to begin with shorter sessions.
When you're planning to use a signal over only one side, it's good to try it over each side to see which side feels
best with that signal for you.
